I-71 passes through Silverton at its southern boundary, bringing downtown Cincinnati within 15 minutes' driving time and providing quick access toward Columbus. I-75, I-275 and the Ronald Reagan Highway are about 15 minutes away.

Jewish Hospital Kenwood is 10 minutes away on Kenwood Road. Bethesda North Hospital is in Montgomery some 15 minutes away; it has excellent emergency room facilities. Seven major Cincinnati hospitals are 25 minutes away.

There is an abundance of convenience shopping along Montgomery and Plainfield Roads. The huge Kenwood Towne Centre Complex is 5 minutes to the east of Silverton.

All city residents have access to Silverton Playfield which has a swimming pool, 4 baseball diamonds, tennis, shuffleboard and basketball courts, playground equipment and picnic facilities. There are numerous baseball teams in which many boys and girls participate each summer. The playfield is heavily supported by the Silverton Kiwanis and the Playfields Mother's Group. Two 18-hole public golf courses, Sharon Woods and California, are within a 20 minute drive. French Park in adjacent Amberley is 5 minutes away.
